Nature vs. Nurture

The Nature v. Nurture dichotomy (debate) was discussed in lectures. Is it Nature (genetics/the unfolding of our genetic blueprints) or Nurture
(environment/experiences/learned behaviors) that has most influence on sexual attraction or sexual preference? Is it entirely one or the other or a
combination of the two? Does the influence of one or the other vary from person to person with regard to development of sexuality or sexual
preference - or is it the same for everyone? Note that sexual attraction does not equal a person acting on the attraction. Therefore, a person might be
only or primarily attracted to the same sex but not act on that attraction. The question posed here has to do with sexual attraction/preference. Note
that if you believe it is nature (genetics) that is entirely or even primarily the influence on sexual attraction, then you most likely do not view sexuality
as a choice. If you believe that it is nurture that is entirely or primarily involved with the development of sexual attraction, then at least some measure
of choice could be involved. Share your reasoning. Be respectful of differing perspectives. What about gender identity? Is it nature or nurture? Lastly,
what about intelligence? Is it nature or nurture or both? Share your reasoning
