Narrative inquiry is a powerful tool to facilitate development of exemplary nursing practice. You will be

asked to write a narrative regarding your social distancing experience over the next few weeks during the

COVID-19 pandemic. The narrative is meant to be descriptive, analytical and reflective. This narrative

should encompass your personal experiences navigating the last course of nursing school in a social

distance environment. Many of you also live with your family or roommates. We will use the term “living

unit” to encapsulate all the different ways people live with others, or by themselves. These narratives

should typically range from 3 – 5 pages and should be in APA 6th ed. format. The following guidelines will

assist you in organizing and writing your narrative.
