Order Description

Defense of a Chapter in the book Michele Mason and Helen Lee, eds., Reading Colonial Japan ( chapter 3)

Imagine that you are the editor of Reading Colonial Japan. The publisher of the book, Stanford University Press, has asked you to cut one of the eight chapters as a cost saving measure. Pick a chapter that is different from the one you wrote about in Assignment 1 and prepare a 1000 word statement in which you argue that your chosen chapter should not be cut. Your defense of the chapter should be built around three key points, and should be tied to the overall purpose of the book as described in the introduction (on pages 1-15). As with Assignment 1 the statement should contain no quotations, and bracketed page numbers should be used to tie your points and arguments to the material contained within the selected chapter.
