  Personal Statement: Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing My interest in healthcare spans from my desire to witness a healthy society and contribute to its wellness. My healthcare career grew from my childhood dream since I always wished to play a part in the medical field. To realize my dream, I graduated with a First Class Degree in Public Health and Health Promotion. The degree equipped me with advanced skills and knowledge in understanding the factors that lead to poor health and the methods to improve wellness in the society. Despite gaining this critical knowledge from Public Health and Health Promotion, I chose to advance my studies and enrolled in a Master’s Program in Public Health and Wellbeing. Currently, I am pursuing this course and in the final year. I intend to combine the knowledge I will gain to the already acquired knowledge in readiness for advanced healthcare roles. However, the failure to pursue a nursing program will deem my ambitions incomplete. I am interested in a Postgraduate Diploma in Adult and Child Nursing as the final step to completing my education in health. My interest in nursing relates to my understanding that nursing is a lifelong learning experience that grants qualified nurses the opportunities to develop trusting relationships with populations, understand demographics and contribute towards improving health outcomes. I am eager to combine child and adult health so I can play a role in healthcare delivery, management, and policymaking. Despite my desire to study nursing, I understand the challenges that come with the profession. I am fully prepared to engage my diligence and tolerance and emerge from the program a complete nurse. I intend to combine my knowledge in nursing with public health to influence my innovation in the healthcare sector and pioneer essential policy proposals and changes for better health. I humbly hope to be admitted to this program to keep my dreams on course.
