McDonaldization in the News
How do we encounter McDonaldization in the news? Students will read newspapers and magazines, at least 5 (five) articles of at least half-a-page in length that
illustrate the consequences of McDonaldization, focusing on the concept of irrationality of rationality. They will use the course core value of Community to critically
analyze the news articles and decide to what extent the consequences of McDonaldization they have documented contribute to socially irrational practices.Paper guidelines:1. Five full pages2. Five sources, APA format3. One page maximum for explanation of terms and concepts4. Your articles will be an additional five sources in the reference section5. Analysis is not totally on the articles but on how it presents irrationality6. 12 font, double spaced
