Write a critical analysis of the artwork. View the video, research outside the site for more information, and answer the following questions in paragraph form about that artwork. Word count should be at least 250-You may write in first person voice but keep it objective!
- Introduce: Give the name of the artist, title (in italics or quotations), date, with a brief background.
- Describe: Give a brief but informative visual description of the work.
- Analyze: How is the artwork designed or presented to the viewer?
- Interpret: What is this artist trying to communicate?
- Conclusion: In what ways can this work be meaningful to the viewer?
- Please cite an outside source that supports your analysis. Reading should be in addition to Art21 and should also be evident in your analysis.
(By "evident" we mean you should either mention it in support: "Author Jane Doe states in her article, All about Puppies, that "the way Clifford paints puppies reflects the homeless puppy problem." or weave it into your analysis more indirectly but it should still be evident and cited at the end.):-)
