You are a health care professional looking to serve your community and you decided to open a hospital with a couple of individuals who want to provide this service to the community. The issue you all are confronted with is whether or not to be a for-profit institution or a not-for profit institution. Provide an outline of factors that you would recommend the team consider when making the decision.
Some suggest long-term care facilities are not needed and only duplicate the care people receive in hospitals. Do you agree? If not, what makes long-term care facilities needed entities? If you do agree, explain your position.
Contrast home-health agencies certified by Medicare and private home-health agencies. Debate the value of certification from both parties.
