Description
Using either an editorial or op-ed column from a national or major newspaper, you will analyze the text according to the argumentative structure of the Toulmin Model by clearly identifying the 6 components of the model within your editorial and justifying each component classification by supporting with your text or other outside sources.
You will then analyze the editorial to identify the logical flaws in the argument. You must identify the flaws- fallacies - and explain why the moves identified are fallacies. That means you will define and label those fallacies, then assess the importance of the moves to the overall structure and quality of the argument in the editorial.
