Description
Compose five fictional, one-page, single-spaced personal letters from one character/narrator/author to another from any of the selections we have read and discussed for class. The content is up to you; the letters must be based on facts and information from the actual texts and must include two examples of in-text documentation (one direct quote from each text). The letters should demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the historical contexts, characters, authors, and themes. You must utilize five different characters/authors/narrators in total. Each letter is worth 100 points for a total of 500 points and worth 25% of the final grade. For example:
- Malcolm X writes a "current" letter to Frederick Douglass about society.
- Alice Walker writes a letter to Malcolm X about her struggles.
