Apply knowledge of the individual developmental, academic, and social needs of K-12 students with disabilities to develop comprehensive lesson plans that can be implemented in an inclusive classroom setting for these students.
Instructions:
- Using case study #2 (John), develop a 4th-grade lesson plan that could be implemented in an inclusive classroom setting, based on content area goals and objectives stated in John’s IEP (e.g., reading or math). It must be math or reading you decide which one. You must use standards from Florida Cpalm https://www.cpalms.org/Public/
- Instructional objectives and activities must address the needs of the case study student as outlined in the IEP, as well as the needs of the other students in the inclusive classroom.
- The lesson plan must demonstrate how the teacher will differentiate and make accommodations for other diverse learners in the classroom and include higher order thinking skills.
