LEED-Certified Tiny Homes (Scholarship Application)

S​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​cholarship Application My background: •I have worked as an AutoCAD Designer for over 18 years •In my job I do Civil Engineering/Land Development •I also am a NC Real Estate Broker •I am pursuing my master’s in technology management with a concentration in Construction Management My Plan: •My plan is to use my background in Land Development and new knowledge in Project Management/ Construction Management to develop a tiny home community focused on the elderly. This community would not only provide housing but provide a way for to get the care they need. There will be a community center where they can interact with each other and provide a location for nurses and doctors to come to provide care. •Provide transportation to doctor appointments and shopping centers •The homes will be energy efficient having things such as solar panels, smart thermostats, insulated with eco insulation, energy efficient lighting and built with green products. The end product would provide LEED-Certified housing. •The land wou​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​ld provide walking trails, storage units and a dog park.
