Interpret Leadership for Effective Change in Organizational Functioning
Change is often difficult because humans tend to feel more comfortable operating within an expected structured routine. Creating change or attempting to improve an organization often requires workers to now operate outside of their comfort zones, as they must think differently, learn new ways of completing tasks, and feel uncertain or fearful of what may come next as well as how well they are now performing. Beginning to understand effective leadership for successful organizational change is a second step toward operating a successful organization. The notion of Blue-Ribbon schools or schools of substantial improvement, while also obtaining a high level of student performance is an example of successful organizational change within education.
Use the assigned readings for the course as well as additional applicable scholarly sources, describe, in sufficient detail, supportive references that cite how you might improve an organization using the four perceptual roles of structure, human resources, politics, and symbols. Be sure to describe these four concepts as a framework to facilitate organizational improvement.
