Description Do you think you have an accent in your first language? What about in English? Can you hear your own accent? Write an essay in which you explore the concept of the accent in the area where you are from or here at UCDavis. How do people react to speech? Is one way of speaking considered more educated or intelligent than another? What do you think of that?
