and then write about your experience with respect to transfer in L2 writing as learners of
English or another language with respect to Time 1 and Time 2:
Time 1: elementary-intermediate level
Time 2: advanced level (current)
Consider the following questions:
Do I transfer skills form L1 when writing in L2? What kind of skills?
How aware am I when I perform ‘transfer’?
If you use your L1 when writing in L2, do you use it in order to plan/organise/monitor the
writing process (e.g. when you plan your first draft, re-read, review and edit your drafts, or
the final draft etc.) or in order to generate new ideas, explore L1-based rhetorical strategies
etc.?
