International relations scholars

International relations scholars have debated for decades an appropriate framework that best explains political phenomena among states. As the twentieth century experienced horrific world wars of its first half to its expanding global cooperation of the second half, scholars were left to ponder the degree of influence new actors shared in global politics. And when the twenty-first century began with a telecasted attack on the United States on September 11th, we are now faced with challenge of declaring who matters; what matters; and why engagement among some actors differs from other actors. For this research paper, select an event in history, a case study, and apply an appropriate theoretical framework for us to understand why it happened.
