The purpose of this assignment is to provide students an immediate and low stakes opportunity to apply course material. Further, it provides the instructor with an opportunity to assess student comprehension of course content and to correct misunderstandings as they arise. Assignment For each of the twelve content units, there is a journal prompt that asks each student to apply the content of the unit to the week’s video. Students should focus on the course content and provide a clear, concise, and thorough response to the prompt for each journal entry. Each response should be roughly one, well-written paragraph in length (four to five sentences minimum) and should cle​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​arly focus on drawing connections between course content and the video watched at the beginning of the week. Focus on the argument and clarity with regard to the application of the content to the video. Inclusion of any sources outside of course material requires approval of your instructor.
