Infographics

Description

An infographic is an important tool for PR practitioners when trying to convey complex data or ideas to an audience in a form that can be easily understood and shared.

For the assignment, you will first choose a data-driven research topic that has been covered by a data analysis company such as Pew Research, Gallup or Nielsen. Topics may be focused on a consumer, industry or brand issue. Here are some ideas:
Current global health issues
Sports team rankings
Gen Z and entrepreneurialism
Evolution of social media networks
History of the Starbucks brand
College sleeping habits

Once you have selected a topic, you will then use Piktochart.com (or another data visualization tool, see https://www.creativebloq.com/infographic/tools-2131971) to create an attention-grabbing, well-written infographic that effectively tells the story and creatively presents your data. You may not recreate existing graphics from these research sites. Here are video tutorials on using Piktochart: https://www.youtube.com/user/Piktochart.

Please be sure to proofread your work and include a link to your research source(s) at the bottom of your infographic.
Once you have completed your infographic, upload the file or paste the link on this portal, and also print out a copy to submit in class.
Here are some examples of good infographics:
