Independent film

See an independent film at a movie theatre. (Not on a streaming service - actually go to the theatre). Some current indies in release include "Linda Rondstadt: The Sound of my Voice", "Judy", "The Farewell" & "Monos". Please be sure to write analysis for the latest indie movie. If you have an access to them, you may not need to go to theatre.
Write a 2-3 page review of the film, analyzing/emphasizing what makes it "different" from a mainstream film (think of formal properties, narrative structure, unconventional story material, etc.)
Be sure to include something about the moviegoing experience: Was this the only "indie" film in the complex? Was it on multiple screens, or did it only have 1-2 showtimes? What kinds of previews or advertisements (if any) were shown before your film began? Did the movie theatre haveposters of more upcoming "indie" films alongside blockbusters and Hollywood/mainstream films? Pay attention to the studios/distributors of the PREVIEW films if you can: are they indie distributors? Big studios with "small" projects?.
