Hypertension and Self-care

Hypertension and Self-care 1. Components of Paper to include: Research Literature Support Theoretical Framework and Change Model Research Approach/design Sampling 2. Identify addition literature to support selected PlCOT/PICO question. (My PICOT question is: Is there a difference in using Orem’s self-care theory to help patients control hypertension between 45-70 year of age? 3. What is a theoretical Framework? Identify the theoretical framework that will be used (T he theoretical framework that I will use is Orem’s Self-care Theory). Describe how the theoretical framework is used to your PlCOT/PICO question Identify the change model and the steps/stages that are used within the model to implement a change. Describe how the selected change model is useful to your PlCOT/PICO question Discuss how using a theoretical framework (Orem’s Self-care) and a change model (My change model PSDA) will promote success and Sustainability of the project 4. What is a change model? My change model is PSDA cycle (Plan Study, DO, Act) Please see example below of the PSDA steps 0 Step 1: Plan-Plan the test or observation, including a plan for collecting data 0 Step 2: Do-Try out the test on a small scale 0 Step 3: Study-Set aside time to analyze the data and study the results 0 Step 4: Act-Refine the change, based on what was learned from the test 5. Research Approach and Design Identify if the project is to use a quantitative or qualitative approach (I’m using quantitative approach to research design). If it is quantitative: Identify if the design is experimental, quasi-experimental or descriptive Describe the selected design Provide a rationale for selected design Describe ONE advantage to selected design Describe ONE disadvantage to selected design 6. Sampling Describe the target population Identify if the project is to use probability or nonprobability sampling Provide a complete description of the sampling procedure including sample size Identity TWO advantages to the selected sampling procedure -ldentify ONE disadvantage to the selected sampling procedure Explain how participant’s rights will be protected (i.e. confidentiality, anonymity, protection from harm). 7. Conclusion Provide a summary of key elements from paper identifies expected outcomes for the project proposal based on assignment content
