How students can develop good listening schemes

Description

As I was growing up, even though I did not know I had ADHD, I could look around at my classmates and know that there was something wrong with me. As classmates were listening intently to teachers, and furiously taking notes, I was looking around, doodling in my notebook, and shifting around unable to sit still. I could not sit in front of the TV without doing a million other things, even to watch shows that I enjoyed. To this day, when my husband and I watch TV, I have to have a computer in my lap. Unfortunately, this is how I am in every situation in which I am placed: inattentive. Have you ever found a particular situation in which you are inattentive? What is that situation? Give examples of how you were inattentive in that situation. Why do you think you are inattentive in that situation? What is different about that situation compared to others in which you are able to pay attention for extended periods of time. Be sure to be as detailed as possible in your answer.
