In the twenty-five years following the end of the Punic Wars, Rome became heavily involved to her east, taking control of both Macedonia and Greece and being pulled even across the Aegean when Attalus III willed his kingdom to the Roman people. Did Roman expansion have anything to do with Roman social unrest?
