Historical analysis of Europe

1)    Both Rune Johansson and Vivienne Bonn/ Gerard Delanty are in their chapters discussing the European development over time. Johansson is the historian and Boon/Delanty are the sociologists. In what way do they differ in their historical perspective? What is the difference? Any similarities? Which method are they using? What are their points of departure? And what are their conclusions?

2)    What do we mean by European and Global history?  And in what way do the transnational history change our way of understanding past and present societies? Could you exemplify and reflect with references from the literature? And finally design a short and to the point project which includes the global and the local perspective.
