Hickling-Hudson's ideas

A minimum of five (5) original comments on Hickling-Hudson's ideas, arguments and suggestions; and
A minimum of five (5) comments replying to the postings of others in the class.
Comment on whatever interests you. If someone makes an interesting comment on one of your original comments, build on that as much as possible. There are no right or wrong comments as long as you adequately support and explain your thoughts with reference to coursework materials or other resources (use footnotes in Chicago Notes and Bibliography Style 17th edition) and engage others in meaningful discussion. Citing "Towards Caribbean `Knowledge Societies'…” does not satisfy this requirement.

This is an example of how you can enter your comments and footnotes:

You can find advice on when and how to use Chicago Style on our Blackboard course site under Information Literacy>Documentation Styles. I particularly recommend Purdue OWL (1) which includes numerous examples of footnotes.

The above example references a website. If you are citing a lecture on Blackboard you need to include the course title and the owner of the Blackboard site:
(1) Lecturer's Firstname Lastname. "Lecture Title," Course Title, Hunter College Blackboard. Publication Month Day Year. Accessed Month Day Year. URL.
If you are citing a book you need to include the page numbers of the cited material:
(1) Author's Firstname Lastname, Title of Book (Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication), cited page numbers.
If you are citing an anthology (for example, our textbook) you need to include details of the chapter or section and the page numbers of the cited material only:
(1) Author's Firstname Lastname , "Title of Chapter or Section," in Title of Book, ed. Editor's Firstname Lastname ( Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication), cited page numbers.
If you are citing an article you need to include the page number or numbers of the cited material only:
(1) Author's Firstname Lastname, "Title of the Article," Title of Journal Volume Number, Issue Number (Date): cited page numbers.
