HEALTH TEACHING PLAN AND CLASSROOM PRESENTATION in school
- Decide on a lesson to be taught in the classroom at a particular grade level.
- Review teaching/learning theories.
- Write a 2-4 page paper using APA format addressing the following:
a. Statement of the problem and justification for teaching
b. Justification should be based on review of 2 sources of literature and/or journal research, - summarize each source in 1-2 quality paragraph
a. Include one sound teaching/learning theory relevant to target group.
i. Incorporate learner theory based activities (small group, individual expression, worksheets to - take home, etc.).
i. Include an appropriate method of learner evaluation followed by outcomes. - Develop a teaching outline using the outline form below.
- Include a list of resources for teaching materials related to teaching plan.
- Include learner evaluation tool/documentation.( The evaluation tool must be previously approved and used )
Teaching Plan Outline:
• Topic (healthy food)
• Target Group (Grade level) (The grade level must be determined in the school )
• Main goal of lesson
• Evidence of learner readiness,
why need/want to know this information.
• Behavioral objectives for learners (use action verbs)
• Teaching methods (theory-based, lesson activities) (A theory suitable for teaching and how to apply it among students should be chosen )
• Setting (Choice of room arrangement—circle, sitting on floor, rows of chairs)
• Materials needed (should be write )
• Content outline (complete – including introduction, body, and summary)
• Method of learner evaluation
