2.    (20 points) Because of your success setting federal health policy, you are recruited by Accenture, a leading consulting company, to help them develop a consumer engagement strategy for their clients.

3.    (20 points) Because the CEO at your favorite hometown hospital was so pleased with the purchase and implementation of the EMR, she is making you the CIO for a new Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) reporting to the ACO CEO. The ACO is made up of two hospitals, two independent physician groups, and a long term care organization. Although the ACO members have committed to working together, there is no shared ownership.
a.    Part 1: Describe the IT aspects for the CEO of launching and successfully running the ACO. The CEO admits she doesn’t know much about IT or the IT requirements for a successful ACO.
b.    Part 2: Identify the critical success factors for the new ACO. What do you need to communicate to the CEO and leaders of each ACO member to make sure the ACO is successful from an IT perspective?
