Great Expectation

In Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations, does Pip have a right to be cold and distant to Magwitch when they are first reunited in London, or is Pip just being a spoiled, conceited, ungrateful, uppity little snot? If you were in Pip’s shoes, would you have reacted differently in that situation? If so, how so? If not, why not?
