Grandparents as parents

Now more than ever before in the United States, grandparents are playing the role of Parents to their grandchildren. 1) Discuss some of the reasons why this is the case. 2) Do you believe that Grandparents should receive monetary supplements as those providing foster care to children? Justify your response. 3). What do you feel should be done on the local, state, and national level to address this growing phenomenon and challenges associated with it?
