God of the Judeo-Christian tradition

Darren Afrnofsky’s Noah asks us to consider whether the God of the Judeo-Christian tradition is an irredeemably or whether divine violence originates in human aggression and fanaticism. Watch the film “Noah” and then discuss the following in 150-200 words: Does the story of Noah portray the God of the Abrahamic tradition an irredeemably violent psychopath? Or Does it portray divine violence as the result of religious fanaticism? In other words, is the God of the Bible a psychopath or is divine violence a reflection of human interpreters? Either way, do portrayals of divine violence pose a problem for the possibility of your own belief in God?
