This writing will expand on literature focused on women leaders in the workplace by exploring the topic of Gender, Power and Equality: Women Leaders in Manufacturing and Their Rise to The Top. The goal of this proposed study is to understand the experiences of women leaders in manufacturing during their upward mobility to leadership. It will also explore their perceptions of equality and power based on their experiences and their sensitivity of them, as well as their perceptions of the how gender influenced their rise to the upper echelons. The target population for this study is women in manufacturing organizations who hold senior leadership roles of director, vice presidents, or serve on a board of directors. A sample of 10-12 women will be recruited using homogeneous sampling.
Research Methodology
