Directions: research plan that answers the questions below and includes a bibliography. The assignment must be 1 page long, typed, and double-spaced.
- What topic your group is focusing on childcare? How is this topic important to reproductive justice on the university campus? Here you must explain what reproductive justice is, and how it relates to the specific topic you are focusing on university. Why did your group choose this topic?
- What questions will you explore that go beyond university in order to contextualize your topic within current law or public policy debates, scholarly research on your topic (for instance, research on abortion access among college-aged adults), or best practices at other universities? These are questions that you will research using sources written by experts on the topic, like research articles, public policy reports, and news accounts.
- Once you have defined broader research questions, identify at least 4 published sources that can help you to answer these questions.
o At least 2 sources must be peer-reviewed journal articles or book chapters from the past 10 years.
o The remainder of sources may be articles from reputable news sources (like the New York Times, US News and World Report, Slate, or The Atlantic), or policy reports published by reputable non-profit organizations (like the NAACP or the ACLU). These type of sources must have been published in the past 5 years. - Each group will include with their research plan a bibliography with a minimum of 4 sources. Do not use the first articles you find in your library search, but be sure to use the most recent articles that are most directly related to your topic and present a variety of perspectives (legal studies, sociological, historical, etc.)
o Format your bibliography in MLA.
