Review information about flow-charting in your textbook. Watch short clip that reviews a short process (use of ATM machine). Select an interdisciplinary process that impacts patient safety throughout the continuum of care (i.e. discharge teaching, medication reconciliation, etc.). Complete a flowchart depicting the process to the best of your understanding. You may create in Word, PowerPoint or Excel (see reference list). If possible, ask at least two nurse colleagues to review flowchart for missing process steps. Reflect (approximately 250 words) on sources of variation. A separate paper is not required. The reflection can be placed at the end of the flowchart. References
