Fire investigation

Case studies are a useful tool to study fire investigation. It allows us to see how the
theoretical knowledge has real world application. In this course we will look at the
response and investigation of infamous fires and emergencies.
Instructions:
On July 7, 2005 a series of coordinated bombings was conducted throughout the
London transit system. Fifty-two were killed and hundreds were injured.
• Research the 2005 London Bombing.
• Summarize the details of the bombing.
o What types of bombs were used?
o Why did the bombers carry out this attack?
o How can inaccurate public information immediately after an incident affect the
investigation? Provide examples from this attack.
o How was the impact of the bombs inside the underground trains different than
the bus attack?
