Assignment
Gary Forman directed for the History Channel a 2003 documentary called Carson and Cody: The Hunter Heroes. Watch in its entirety the first half of the film, which

addresses the life of Kit Carson. This assignment does not require you to watch the second half of the film, on the life of Buffalo Bill Cody.
I have put a DVD of this film in the reserve folder for HI 325C at the Reinsch Library circulation desk. Students can get the DVD for as much as two hours of viewing

time within the library (but cannot check the disc out of the library). You might also be able to find the film online (though it isnt available on Netflix).
For as many as 3 Class Participation points, write a complete response in essay format to the analytical questions below. A complete answer (about three pages, double

spaced) will provide many specific examples from the film, and perhaps a couple of short but key quotations.
