Film Analysis

Choose one of the following six movies: Love. Simon; Real Women Have Curves; The Florida Project; The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants; Won't You Be My Neighbor?; Your NameWatch (or re-watch) that movie, and identify a salient scene or theme that relates to an aspect of (real-world) social, emotional or personality development in childhood or adolescence. How is that portrayed in the film? Whether implicit or explicit, what claims about developmental psychology is being made in that part of the movie?Using at least one developmental theory from the textbook and at least two empirical articles published in one of the approved peer-reviewed journals ( see below), analyze the accuracy of the film's portrayal of that aspect of development.
