These types of systems support critical business functions and operations that every organization must manage. The effective manager understands the purpose of these types of systems and how they can best be used to manage the organization’s data and information.

Identify an example of how your selected business information system could affect, or is already affecting, the organization where you work, or one with which you are familiar.
Summarize what you have learned about the importance of this business information system and why managers need to understand how this business information system can be used to the organization’s advantage.
