This essay is the one personal detail that will set me aside from the rest of the thousands of Physician Assistant school applicants. CASPA (the centralized portal for PA school applications) requires a 5,000 character personal statement (~600 words; spaces count as characters) to explain why specifically I want to become a PA; why do I want to be a PA instead of a doctor or nurse practitioner or any other medical clinician for that matter. I have added links below so you can get a better understanding of what the admissions board members are looking for from this essay. I have also attached a rough draft of my essay so you can get the gist of who I am and the real reasons why I want to become a PA. I would like for it to include a great opening (something different from what I wrote), have well written transitions as my rough draft does not flow well one point to the next, be creative and descriptive, make them laugh, make them cry, but most importantly make it memorable! It also needs to speak to my qualifications, work and volunteer experiences, therefore I have added my resume for clarity. I NEED for this to be awesome and I am trusting you to help me!
