Exoplanets
Go to exoplanets.nasa.gov because this is where it will be easiest to answer the questions.
Click on expand above the exoplanets confirmed / nasa candidates and planetary systems.
Then link and provide the different types of planets listed on the side of the screen that says “planet types”
(including Neptune-like, gas giant, super earth, terrestrial, and unknown).
Then provide details abt the “new discovery” next to “planet types”.
Then scroll down to “exoplanet census” and by method provide the percentage of planets found by method
and provide a description of the method.
Then on the left side with “exoplanet census” with the dot plot (as you can see a majority of exoplanets
have been discovered by using the “transit” method. shown by yellow dots. For reference earth is the large
compare and contrast the exoplanets that have been discovered by the various methods to earth.
In terms of mass and orbital period.
Then explain how more mass might effect whatever “life” might be on the planet.
Explain how a shorter orbital period effect whatever “life” might be on the planet.
There are a couple of planets with an orbital period of 100,00 to 1,000,000 times longer than earth. If you
where able to visit one of those planets, what would a typical earth year look like there also if an alien from
there can to earth what would a year look like to them.
