Ethical culture interview
Interview someone who has worked for a medium to large size organization for at least a year. This can be, for example, be someone in your family, a neighbor, a friend, or a mentor. You will be
required to submit your company choice, including the name of the person you plan to interview. you will use the material in chapter 5 as a guide, and analyze the ethical culture of the organization according to the
guidelines and evaluation criteria provided.
Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria:
Part I: 5 Points Total
What is the organization you chose and why did you choose it? Who is the person you chose to interview and
why?
Part II. 60 Points Total
How does each of the following ethical culture systems support “ethical” or “unethical” behavior in the
organization?
You may need to probe for these—don’t just say they don’t exist without strong evidence that’s true. If you
learn that the organization has no ethics code, orientation program, or explicit ethics training (or other system)
say that, but explain how you know this to be true. Be sure to cover the ethical culture systems
comprehensively and accurately, and include specific examples for each of them.

Part III: 15 Points Total
Are the ethical culture systems aligned to support ethical behavior or unethical behavior? Or, are the ethical
culture systems misaligned (i.e. sending mixed messages)? Discuss the alignment or misalignment of the
formal and informal systems, and include specific examples with your explanation.
