Epilogue catcher in the rye Instructions
Epilogue catcher in the rye Instructions: write an epilogue (a chapter after the conclusion of a story) to The Catcher in the Rye that catches up with Holden 10 years later. So he’s 27—what’s he doin
How’s his family? What happened right after we left? When did he get out of the mental hospital? Did he finally finish high school? College? Career? Love? Jane? Phoebe? DB? And of course, what is he doing now? Creativity is key—as is keeping the voice as Holden’s: first person narrative. This is a creative assignment. You may develop the epilogue however you wish. It may be serious, funny, upbeat, depressing–as long as you stay in Holden’s voice and tell us what’s been going on and what you’re up to now, ten years later, you’re good.
You must include some dialogue.
Don’t forget to multi-paragraph–use the novel as a model.
