Engineering geoscience

You will create 3 digital posters (infographics) about 3 different minerals using a free online website. You will have to research 3 minerals for your infographic. The first mineral will be one of the rock forming minerals and
it will be assigned to you based on the criteria below (which is a table in the attached file and you choose the
first one because my last name starts with A) . Please make sure you complete the mineral assigned to you or you will not receive credit for that part of the assignment. The second mineral, also assigned, will be one that is important in some aspect of engineering and our daily lives. The third mineral is yours to choose. You can choose any mineral except for any of the minerals in the assigned list. Please pay attention to the list below.
There are >4500 minerals so you should not have a problem finding a mineral other than the 18 in the list
below. The primary goal of the infographics is to provide the diagnostic characteristics of the minerals that
could aid in their identification. Imagine giving this infographic to another student in the class and they would
have to use it to help identify that mineral. In addition mineral uses and significance to engineering can be
explored in your infographics.
References:
When using sources other than class resources (lectures, lecture notes, provided documents) you NEED to
cite your references. Below find 2 places to help you cite your sources and format them properly.

Infographics:
Please use one of the following sites to generate your infographic. Please do not use PowerPoint. You will
submit your infographic as an image/pdf or html link. The infographic will be graded according to the rubric
provided for reference. The only other information you need regarding format is that these should be for use on
a computer monitor or for print (not for a mobile device). For specific information to help you understand what
an infographic does and what it should do please visit:
