In Lean Operations and Waste, Prof. Lee introduces the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) chart. And in the Seven Sources of Waste, he takes a systematic approach to detecting waste in a process. In a post of a few paragraphs (plus diagrams), you will apply those tools to the Radiology and Breast Imaging Clinic case in the Week I readings. Review the case, and then:
• Build an OEE chart for Radiologist Valerie Swanson of the Breast Imaging Center. To do this, plot the total work time on the left, then highlight the waste (help with diagrams). For example:

• Use the framework of the seven sources of waste to identify waste in the Breast Imaging Center.
• Then answer the following questions:
o What can these tools show us about how Dr. Valerie Swanson and the Breast Imaging Center can more effectively organize resources?
o What can these tools show you about how you can more effectively organize resources in your own work?
