Effect of GDP Per Capita on National Life Expectancy For Members Of The European Union During The 2000-2017 Period
Analyse how changes in gdp per capita affect national life expectancy for members of the european union during the 2000-2017 period. Data should be found for these countries from the WHO the IMF and mainly from the world bank website. The data should consist of variables that form a equation which should be explained and then regressed. Some basic variabled that are to be included are GDP per capita, life expectancy, education expenditure and health expenditure. More are to be used especially if there is a needed instrumental variable to be added. This data about the member countries should be exported in R and formulated in order to be regressed in a variety of ways. These should include simple regression, multiple regression, F-test, T-test, endogeneity tests, robustness tests and summary statistics. In addition a fixed effects model as well as random effects model should be done and compared in order to see which is most suitable. Relevant graphs should be produced as well as explenationsSince this is a paper close to the one done by Gokce Dayanikli, Varsha Gokare and Brian Kincaid there should be comparisons between findings of this paper and that one. The basic format (abstract, introduction, main findings, conclusion etc) the above writers have used should also be followed. A project template will be uploaded as well as important documents explaining what the project must contain in further detail. Most importantly page 29-33 from the lecture 1 document that i will upload. The assigment must be accompanied by an appendix containing data and all computations.
