    Early American history - third chapter of The American Political Tradition - Andrew Jackson The third chapter of The American Political Tradition analyzes the career of Andrew Jackson and the concept of “Jacksonian Democracy.” Based on that chapter, our work in class and the other assigned readings, answer question “a” and one of the questions in “b”: a) Compare and contrast the principles of “Jacksonian democracy” with those of “Jeffersonian democracy;” and b) How does Andrew Jackson’s conception of the role and powers of the presidency differ from that of his predecessors?
