DSM Paper Assignment Order Description DSM Paper Assignment You will complete a required paper assignment that requires the use of the DSM-5. I have created a list of films—they are attached. You are to watch one of these films (attached). After watching it, you will write a diagnostic analysis on one of the major characters in your chosen film and coordinate the character’s symptoms and diagnosis with the DSM-5 criteria. This assignment is very important you MUST follow all the instruction carefully. Please go to “Assignments” and there you will find detailed and specific instructions for this assignment along with the Sample Paper I have written. It is a requirement of the course, that you write your paper in the same format as the sample paper provided and follow the instructions I have provided for this assignment carefully. Do not search the Internet for the answers to your diagnoses. Much of the time, there is incorrect information presented there—especially since the creation of the DSM-5. ****I want to be extremely clear—This assignment is not like writing an English paper. It is about making a judgment on a person and justifying why you could make such a judgment. Were it to be in the real world with an actual patient, your evaluations could have tremendous ramifications for that person. Consequently, you are writing the paper using the DSM criteria that clearly substantiates your conclusion and demonstrates to me that you are aware of power that you are representing.
