Instructions : Andre's Mother
Andre’s Mother is a surprisingly short play, and while some of the characters’ backstories, personalities, and motivations are revealed through the dialogue and action, much remains unsaid and left to audience members’ speculation.

Choose one character from the play and discuss what you believe his or her motivation, backstory, and personality is like. You can be somewhat creative here, but you should use the clues that the playwright has already provided for you as your guide.
