Developing a Crisis Communications Plan

Create a plan for crisis communications in a hospital or health system environment. The following elements should be included in the plan:

Identify at least six potential crisis scenarios that could potentially occur in the healthcare environment. Outline the who, what, when, where, and how of these crisis situations.
Define who the key members of your crisis communication team will be.
After defining potential crises that can occur in the healthcare environment, create a table in a Word document to define the threat level of each scenario as low, moderate, or high risk.
Determine the frequency of updates that the crisis communication team will provide the key stakeholders involved in the issue. Also, define how the media will be handled during the scenario.
Write a key message holding statement for each scenario.
