Part 1
Building a team is not an easy job. It requires lot of time, effort, patience and evaluation. In order to accomplish the goals and objectives there are certain tasks that need to be completed. The tasks are grouped together depending on how similar they are in nature. Each of these grouped tasks can be worked to achieve certain aspects of a project. So at the end a project can only be completed if the job profiles and incorporated jobs are accomplished. This is the first stage of designing the task.
The second stage is where appropriate team members are selected in order to accomplish certain tasks. Candidates are selected as par requirements of the tasks of the project. For this one needs to know what the requirements of the project are and what skills are needed. This way, appropriate candidates are selected with adequate proficiency level in order to complete the tasks of the project efficiently. The selected candidates are then employed under the project and the team slowly forms. When the team is formed then the tasks are given to each of the team members accordingly that matches with their skills. Roles and responsibilities are then clearly laid out so that each team member knows what they will be doing throughout the project lifecycle (Williams, Parker & Turner, 2010).
In order to incorporate diversity, I would try to hire different candidates from different diversity group. I would also try to build such organizational culture that will enhance diversity culture where different skillset of people from different diversity groups can come together to accomplish project goals.
Part 2
Team identity refers to the overall taken approach by the team and the attitude of the team towards roles and responsibilities and also bonding and relationship among the team members. Team leaders feel attached to some groups because those groups tend to function well in terms of communication level, following instructions, positive attitude, helping attitude among others. That is why some groups are more appealing and draw more attention from team leaders (Blazovich, 2013).

Part 1
In most of the teams, designing the tasks, selecting the people and managing their relationships between them are done by team leaders or managers. I would do the following things to complete a project as a team manager. First selecting the people to work on the team requires to do thorough analysis of the project’s requirements, goals and objectives. Based on that, I would list down the roles and responsibilities and conduct interview processes. Selecting proactive and enthusiastic people is very important for the project to be successful, because people who are proactive and enthusiastic are also tend to be responsible and will work hard towards the success of the project (Williams, Parker & Turner, 2010).
And designing the tasks depends on the type of team that I select. If the team has a lot of experienced people, then they will be able to design their own tasks and self-manage. If it is a mix of experienced and inexperienced, then as a team manager I would help them to design tasks in such a way that everybody gets their fair share of work. Relationship building is another important aspect for a team to be successful, various activities and outing would be conducted to meet outside the work to build good relations with each other in the team. Diversity in a team brings new perspectives and strengths to the team, so incorporating young, experienced and people from different background and cultures should be done while designing the team (Horwitz, 2015).
Part 2
Team identity is the sense of belonging and being part of the team. People feel that they belong to a team when they are given importance, valued and appreciated. Team leaders usually value and appreciate the team members who are most proactive and responsible towards the project. That is why someone feels more attached to teams than others. As this is a common behavior, it the responsibility of a team leader to make everyone in the team feel valued and appreciated which bring better harmony in the team and ultimately success to the team.
