For the assessment in this module you are to complete an energy and environmental analysis and evaluation of a property. This coursework is designed to able you to:
•    design and evaluate the thermal performance of external elements of a building,
•    estimate the annual energy requirement of the property,
•    estimate the energy related carbon dioxide emissions,
•    discuss different energy efficient and renewable technical options concerning the choice of properties HVAC systems
•    use simulation to analyse energy performance for different design solutions,
•    use a scientific approach to your work, correlating secondary evidence from your reading with the primary evidence produced from your analysis.

The drawings show the proposed office building shape and form and positions of the openings. Whilst it will be unrealistic to expect that there can be any change possible in building shape and form, its materials, orientation, exact size of the opening and shading devices are open for a discussion.
You should discuss all passive and active measures allowed under current building regulations that can help building achieve at least A or B EPC rating for office building.
Using simulation tools, such as BEAM spreadsheet or DesignBuilder, you should discuss and evaluate the simulation results for available options.  Based on these results, you will have to propose the final design and explain the rationale behind your choice.
