This paper is based on readings from chapter 7 and chapter 9 of the book, “Denmark Vesey’s Garden”. The paper must analyze why, how, and to what extent the memory of slavery in Charleston changed from the 1920’s to the 1970’s. Or in other words, from the era of segregation through the civil rights movement. The paper is also going to be double spaced and size 12 font with regular margins just so you have that in mind.
