Discussion – Debating Early Childhood Legislation

It is not uncommon for early childhood professionals to have differing opinions about bills or legislation introduced to support young children and families.

Some examples of controversial legislation include:

Fingerprinting and background checks
Identify a controversial piece of legislation that you feel strongly about. State your position regarding the matter and explain why you feel that way. Respond to your classmates’ statements based on your opinion. Provide research or data to support your responses.
